What is a Mimage?

 Mimiges are miniature images created by and from the artists eye and imagination. My name is Fred LaPoint and I create such images on a multi-medium platform. Basically if paint will stick to it, I will paint on it. My choice of style is detailed, miniature images in acrylic paint and then preserved with a clear coat sealant.  Most all of these crafts are from recycled materials and include, ceramic, glass, wood, canvas boards and other similar materials, so the items you are purchasing are not "As New" condition. Each piece is a one of a kind, original . There are no two the same, though  they may appear similar in some cases, and as such only one is available for each item. I favor landscape and lighthouse scenes, however have been known to do an occasional wildlife or seascapes as well. You will find items of interest from household to collectables, recycled and refreshed items with the artist personal touch. When it comes to Hiking and Walking stick, here at Mimiges,Ltd. we offer a variety of items. Wether you are looking for a rugged hiking stick or something a bit less cumbersome such as a natural cane. Each piece is hand selected, dried, sanded, carved, painted, or left natural then signed and sealed with a clear non-yellowing finish spray in layers to ensure many years use and protection from the elements. Also available are cowhide grips and each is supplied with a non slip rubber tip you can attatch easily after cutting to a comfortable length. * These are not turned pieces of wood. They are natural branch and root forms and as such are not straight from tip to tip.  Each has its own charecter and form, however are chosen  as straight as possible  in the selection process. Occasionally during the drying process they tend to curl or bend as well. Choose from the many designs we have  ( See samples below) or order a custom stick made to your desires. Custom carvings and names are available for additional costs. Custom orders take longer for delivery and I will email you with a timeframe upon placing your order. The average custom stick will usually take approx 10 days for completion and an additional 1-3 days for shipping  just as a reference.  Email me  for details and / or questions. Each piece is done one at a time and there are no two the same, making it a unique one of a kind piece. Images may appear similar but they are different in some manner.
